“Through persistence and hard work, we can each unlock the potential God has given us. We have within us not only the capacity to accomplish great things but also the ability to do ordinary things in extraordinary ways.” Lloyd Newell   (Mormon Tabernacle Choir Announcer for Music and the Spoken Word.)

For seven years now, i have set aside a word that God gave me some 25 years ago that i used as a foundational guide for my life. Today, many times it’s just a verse that i rattle off when it seems to fit others. Proverbs 24:3 (Living Bible) Any enterprise (house, life, home, family) is built by wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.

One other thought regarding that verse is that i plan, use common sense and get the facts and then… i must release it to God because when all is said and done there is no guarantee that God will or will not use any or all of it. Why bother then? Because it says it in the word. The only option to not doing it is to opt out of my plan becoming strong and profiting wonderfully.

i am to Put GOD in charge of my work, then what i’ve planned will take place Proverbs 16:3 . Of course if i have no plan, then there is nothing to put God in charge of and NOTHING will take place. i call that the “flip Side.”

So what’s next? Continue in my pursuit of being healed in regards to “my addiction,” “understanding the times,” “using the current events to my advantage, “planning, using common sense, gathering facts,”and “maturing in the basic. Christ!”

James 1:22-25 says, ed don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! ed when you hear and don’t act you are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who you are, what you look like. When ed catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God–the free life!-even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with it, he is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. Then ed will find delight and affirmation in the action.
